TOP Message

Always focus on consumer demands to provide our customers an experience of authentic Japanese food culture.

Why We Run Japanese Grocery Store

There are two main reasons why Mitsuwa started operating a Japanese supermarket and introducing Japanese food culture in the United States. One is our own specialized distribution channel. We believed that utilizing the logistic structure of our parent company, Kamei Corporation, which is the general trading company in Japan, would make us possible to provide the highest quality Japanese products at the best prices. Other reason is the prospective recognition of Japanese foods is little-known. While “Sushi” and “Ramen” are well-known, Japanese foods and products are not commonly known across the nation yet other than a few of them. Japanese food culture is like a “hidden treasure”. As we expand and promote our business, we are confident that people would gain more opportunities to find the treasure that would brighten their life.

Value and Potential of Our Global Business in the U.S.

It is not easy to continue the supermarket business in the United States where different cultures are brought together like a “Salad Bowl”. We finally brought the Mitsuwa brand to regions and communities in the United States as a result of continuing to introduce and serve Japanese food culture while always understanding how Japanese food is perceived by customers at the moment. There are still innumerable Japanese foods and products that people living in the U.S. never known about. We’ll keep develop our amazing stores in any ways to delight customers by expanding a circle of cooperation with inviting Japanese restaurants as a tenant at the in-store food court and improving Japanese foods to be suitable for the local people.
